Kinja'd!!!

I heard there may be a few G90 limos coming to the US just like the Equus limos did.

CT6 vs G90

The rear 3/4 of this car is so American (excluding the taillights). Alternate timeline Chrysler Imperial.

Ugh, I’m starting to believe Cadillac can’t catch a break no matter what path they take.

I’m not a fan of the G90, or Genesis. I don’t like ther certain cues that seem to take from its competitors, and, I believe Hyundai ruined the design philosophy by introducing the second generation Genesis sedan as a Hyundai, so now all I see is a Hyundai rather than a luxury car.

But, I do adore their efforts and they have done a good job so far trying to establish themselves as a new luxury brand.

Still, I’d take the CT6 any day.

that g90 looks nearly idential to the previous gen 7 series. (with a piece stuck in the middle)

or are my eyes starting to go bad?

Cadillac is getting there! They are comparing themselves to the wrong companies though. Now that Jaguar has moved down market and Alfa Romeo is entering the US, Cadillac is in a great possession to become a competitive trio with Jag and Alfa. If they would ignore the German three and focus on recreating their own near-exotic/4-door Porsche segment then they’ll hit their stride. BMW and Mercedes have moved into their own segment, with Audi and Lexus the only two brands that could remotely join them.

I’m seeing more previous gen S-Class in the taillights.

I call the highline Hyundai styling theme “Fauxdi” - they might have the content down, but the design is still a work in progress. It moved from tacky KDM to German wannabe, which I suppose is progress.

I saw mention of an Equus limo, were these actually sold in NA? I have seen numerous normal Equus, all driven either by old people, or people of Korean background (thriving community in my area, and national pride is A-OK so long as one isn’t European :) ).

As a Hyundai dealer I want nothing to do with any of their products. They are terrible to deal with and the cars are crap. I would rather own any GM vehicle over any Hyundai.

So the CT6 wins it for my book. I just don’t understand why people are so hard on Cadillac. They make such amazing vehicles, for really not that much money compared to other manufactures of equivalent vehicles.

That’s /if/ Alfa manages to survive through all the issues of bringing the Giulia to life. I hope the Stelvio gives them some much-needed business, as much as I hate the thing.

Because old people, or maybe because GM, and it’s easy to shit on GM because they’re the establishment. I always say they’re making much better cars than they used to. I’ve grown up in my fair share of GM cars and they used to be crap in quality, but they’ve really stepped up their game. But, yet, people are so stuck in the old adage that GM builds crap and doesn’t care about customers.

I agree, from 1988 to 2003 GM didn’t make good cars or treat their customers right, but a lot has changed in 13 years and GM makes some amazing vehicles and honestly has a fairly decent customer service set up and a pretty decent dealer network.

The CT6 has a nicer front end and a much better interior (at least design-wise).
